PART 1: GOOD AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES AND FOOD SAFETY
Learn about Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs)and how to implement them into your farm practices. The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) will affect a number of growers in NJ in the coming years. We will examine this key piece of legislation to learn how it might affect your business.

PART 2: DEVELOP A FARM FOOD SAFETY PLAN
We will use the GAPs principles to develop a non-audit based farm food safety plan specific to your operation. The development of this plan will involve the creation of standard operating procedures, risk assessments and written farm policies detailing the daily, monthly and annual operations at the farm.
