Just Label It: We Have the Right to Know!

Currently, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does not have any requirements that mandate the labeling of genetically engineered (GE) foods. The "Just Label It!" campaign is the work of a coalition of nearly 400 businesses and organizations dedicated to food safety and consumer rights; the campaign demands the labeling of GE foods. On October 4, 2011, the coalition called on the FDA to require labeling of GE foods, thereby giving consumers the right to know what is in our food. We have filed a legal petition and now we need YOUR support!

We want to show the FDA that New Jersey consumers deserve, and want, the right to know what is in their food--help us by flooding the FDA with comments in support of the petition! Please call the NOFA-NJ office if you have any questions about this campaign.
