Make a lasting legacy with NOFA-NJ!
Through your planned support of NOFA-NJ initiatives, you can help us provide education and outreach opportunities for farmers, gardeners, and consumers today and for generations to come.
Giving Through Your Will or Living Trust:
A bequest to NOFA-NJ helps support the future of our organization and can also offer tax advantages to the donor and his or her heirs because a charitable bequest is 100 percent deductible from a taxable estate.
If you have an existing will, your attorney can prepare a codicil that modifies and clarifies your intention to bequeath funds to NOFA-NJ. If you have an existing revocable trust, your attorney can prepare an amendment that allows you to change or qualify its terms.
To make a bequest, consult with your attorney, who should use language such as the following in your will, codicil or trust amendment:
I give, devise and bequeath to Northeast Organic Farming Association of New Jersey, a non-profit New Jersey corporation, with principal business address of 334 River Road, Hillsborough NJ 08844, the sum of _______ [or otherwise describe the gift or assets] for general purposes and use at the discretion of Northeast Organic Farming Association of New Jersey’s board of trustees. Northeast Organic Farming Association of New Jersey’s tax identification number is 22-3043823.
