NOFA-NJ’s 18th Annual Winter
Conference
Greener Fields, Greener Pastures: Growing for Good
Health
Saturday, January 26, 2008
Hickman Hall, Rutgers University, New Brunwick, NJ
Held on Saturday, January 26 at Rutgers
University’s Hickman Hall, this year’s event signified a major
growth in our movement for organic and sustainable farming and food in the
Garden State. With twenty-nine
sessions and over thirty vendors, the conference drew sustainable and organic farmers,
gardeners, market managers, conservationists, educators, chefs, and researchers
from throughout New Jersey and the Mid-Atlantic. It was by far our largest and most
dynamic conference yet, with conference attendance at about 450!
Yes, it was a very special day, filled with
informative sessions, high-quality speakers, non-stop hallway networking and
fellowship over a delicious, seasonal and organic lunch, topped off by
bluegrass music and ice cream…
