Additional Charges (if applicable): Late Fees: Annual Updates postmarked after the due date set for the operation

$50.00 cancellation fee plus mileage charges, tolls, and inspector driving
time (at $25.00 per hour) will be assessed. A Returned Check Fee: of $25.00 will
be charged for all returned checks. On-Farm Processing Fee: Producers doing value added products may

NOTE: Basic inspection charges are included with fees above. Additional inspection charges may be incurred if you do on-farm processing, require a follow-up inspection, or cancel inspection without adequate notice. Instructions: Fill out and return the Submitted Producers Fee Form (enclosed). The certification fee is on a sliding scale based on gross income for certified organic farm products. First-time applicants who purchased an application package may apply a $25 credit against their certification fees. Certification fees must be submitted in full with your application. · Applicants who withdraw their application BEFORE an inspection has taken place will be remitted 50% (one half) of their certification fees, minus the application order fee. Once an inspection has taken place, applicants are not eligible for refunds of fees. · Update farm fees are based upon the previous year’s actual gross sales from certified fields, livestock, and facilities. The Supervisor of the Organic Certification Program may request to see your most recent IRS 1040 Schedule F (Profit and Losses from Farming) or other proof of farm receipts. · New applicant’s certification fees are based upon projected gross sales from certified fields, livestock and facilities. ·
Payment of your fees makes you eligible for a
free membership with NOFA-NJ. Members
receive quarterly editions of The Natural Farmer, NOFA-NJ’s Organic News, and
discounts on NOFA-NJ events and merchandise.
Membership is NOT automatic; you must check the box on the Submitted
Fees Form for your complementary membership. |
